How did LAX miss being on the misery list?

My favorite at LAX is having to get on a bus and go out of the airport to get to another terminal. 😂

Good question! LAX is a beast of the worst kind! Have to put Palm Beach International on the “Compliment” list; it’s still small enough that there’s little BS & everything is very easy to get to.

Airports are infested with TSA. Flying is a hard, NO for me. I not in a big hurry to go anywhere outside the 48 contiguous states. I'll drive. #FuckTSA

Another hard no on Gertrude. That name reminds me of REGretta.

Have you flown through these airports recently? I don’t know about Portland, but Seattle airport is the absolute worst! One of the most crowded, dirty, expensive and just ugly and old airports around. It has terrible garage for parking, crappy uber terminal, even the starbucks is bad. The food is not terrible but overpriced even for an airport and worst is that its so crowded there is no place to sit. Even the lounges are full. The people there don’t shower and just being close to them is painful. They also dress horrifically, a sea of fashion terrorists who are mostly all obese, unpleasant and mostly all democrats. Yuk.

Until you said Democrat it sounded maybe tolerable..rubbing up on vaxxed, shedding death particles Demo's with 10x more STD's and a lecture ready on the goodness of abortion and Planned Parenthood (Who like cutting up babies and still, yes still getting top dollar for baby organs)..What a dreamy way to spend your day at Seattle Airport (dreamy, real nightmare w demon people!)

I'm genuinely surprised that Denver International didn't make the bad list. I truly hate that airport.

All airports suck, but Orlando’s ridiculous security lines are truly something special

With all the planes falling out of the skies and pilots having “medical incidents”, I don’t think I will be flying any time soon. Plus I really love driving and being in control of where, when and how I am going to get there.

It’s always a personal decision and choice on how one travels.

Trips are supposed to be fun and that can mean different things for each individual.

Safe and fun travels to you all !!!

The TSA in Newark is rude and GHETTO. They treat passengers horribly. They should be replaced with normal people

Reminds me of the Philadelphia airport.

And they don’t even do their jobs properly. I carried a fairly chunky pocket knife in my backpack and inadvertently went with it through security at EWR numerous times.

I now go to lengths to avoid airports and airplanes altogether. Flying is a miserable grind.

What about Atlanta International Airport? It's the #1 busiest in the world. 108 million in 2024!

Considering it’s the busiest in the world, I had no complaints when I connected in Atlanta on my way to Baja.

I believe the airport mirrors the local population the small southern states are by far the best most polite and they actually try to be courteous.I personally would rather have a hysterectomy

than fly but sometimes family emergencies arise usually clear across the country. I have already let my other family members know . I’ll be there but I will be coming by covered wagon actually a pick up truck with a camper shell

The only airports on those lists I've had to experience are Phoenix and Minneapolis on the good list and DFW and Newark on the bad. All were one time only and all were at least 6 years ago, so things may have changed.

When flying into or out of Dallas, I generally use Love Field. The one time I used DFW was for an international flight; it was OK, not bad, not great. The one time in Newark was in '98 and it was the worst of all airport experiences I've had; not surprised that it hasn't changed.

Phoenix and Minneapolis were simple ins and outs with no problems. Again, no surprise it's still good there.

I will say I do miss the days of flying before TSA...it was much simpler then. Kind of sums up life in the USA in general.

I seconded that Seattle and Denver should make the cut for worst as well. SeaTac use to be pleasant and even had an Ivars... but has become a truly horrid, crammed dumpster fire of human misery.

PDX is the polar opposite, complete jewel of the PNW and model of how to blend local brands, logistical efficiency and experience.

DIA is just infuriating for no other reason than its in the middle of nowhere with all the space in the world yet still manages to muck up every connection with weather, ground delays and making one run from one side of one concourse to the end of another. Whoever designed must be a sadist or had zero flying history.

I'll nominate Salt Lake for the nice list, big yet multiple crossways, plenty of room.with lots of variety in vendors and even the bathroom stall doors are a nice touch being super tall and solid wood.

I agree with the lists. Would add the following on the mix: Seattle is awful - under perpetual construction with poor signage, long unmarked passageways to terminals and a dirty tram. Charlotte is great - easy layout, newer and tons of shops and good restaurants.

Navigating the airport is the easy part. Putting your life in the hands of the pilot is another.
