A good start. But do we really trust these same companies to produce healthy food now given their previous sociopathic behavior? Putting out unhealthy products for our babies? I’d like to see a whole new group of companies stating with a clean slate and with leaders with good intentions for their customers.

Thus effort needs defined metrics to achieve defined results according to a specifically designated timeline with consequences for missing goals and objectives. Consequences like "your fired." I trust FDA and NIH about as far as I can spit. Also need a similar approach to the ridiculous number of children's vaccines being meticulously investigated and approved for use! Finally liability for dangerous and destructive drugs, vaccines and so on must be restored for all of big pharma and the government!

Isn't baby formula loaded with seed oils and sugars? Glad it's being reviewed. Overdue!

Since formula seems to have soy and corn as major ingredients (not good in themselves) there need to be very low maximum for herbicide abd pesticide residues like glyphosate and attrozine.

Just got a chance to watch Sharyl's interview with President Trump. In my view her integrity as a journalist just went down a few notches. What a freakn' puff piece. Here's the question that should have been asked Sharyl.

" You are willing to negotiate peace in Ukraine , but when it comes to Israel you are unwilling to stop the genicide of innocent women and children. You would surely win the Nobel Peace Prize if you could broker a 2 state solution and force our friend , Israel and the Likud party to work out a permanent peace with Palestine and Israel living side by side. You would be considered one of the greatest and most accomplished presidents in U.S. history. Why won't you do this ?"

And then when he starts skating around the question, you can ask him "with the incredible amounts of money that the Israeli lobby buys influence in the U.S., would you say that Israel is the tail waging the dog ?"

Only kidding , no one has the balls to ask that one, although we all know it's true.

'Critics, including some pediatricians and advocacy groups, have argued that many commercial formulas contain high levels of corn syrup solids and other processed ingredients, differing significantly from breast milk.'

Breast milk has a high percentage of saturated fats. I would be concerned mostly about the fat profile of the formula—knowing today's nutritional recommendations, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a high percentage of polyunsaturated fats. This could have a significant detrimental effect on the development of healthy nerves, brain cells, and other important membranes.

Encouraging breast-feeding should be primary. But recognizing that's not always possible, formula should be as close to breast milk as possible. And what about using milk from other mammals as an alternative, possibly with supplemental additives?

I've always believed that natural was best and I assumed Kennedy thought similarly, but now it's Trump's CDC and NIH and he'll set everything right, I suppose I'm old, maybe I should change my tune? Now I can't wait to see what they do with those tiny jars of "spinach" that Ma never had the opportunity to bless us kids with.
